Point Mugu State Park
Point Mugu State Park is a large park located in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area in Southern California. It is in the Western Santa Monica Mountains and is about one mile wide at the most, and one and three fourths miles from top to bottom at the most. The park can be accessed from the north in the Satwiwa Native American Indian Culture Center and from the south by the Pacific Coast Highway.
Recreation
Opportunities for hiking, swimming, cycling, and horseback riding exist within the park. The western terminus of the Backbone Trail System, a multi-use long-distance trail running nearly 70 miles across the Santa Monica Mountains, is the Ray Miller trailhead at La Jolla Canyon in Point Mugu State Park.
